29 Palms Art Gallery – In the heart of the Oasis of Mara, the historic adobe that houses 29 Palms Art Gallery & Gift Shop, owned and operated by the 29 Palms Artists’ Guild, is a must see for anyone visiting 29 Palms, and it’s walking distance to Joshua Tree NP Oasis Visitor Center. The gallery hosts monthly art shows and receptions, seasonal events, and art classes for all ages.
29 Palms Historical Society – The 29 Palms Historical Society preserves and interprets the historical heritage of the Twentynine Palms area and operates the Old Schoolhouse Museum at 6760 National Park Drive, featuring a gift shop and historical displays. The museum hosts monthly lectures, the annual Old Timers Gathering in October and the Weed Show in November, along with other events.
